Dr. Marty Kenworthy, originally from Okemos, Michigan, graduated from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville in 1985. Additionally, Dr. Kenworthy obtained her BS degree from Michigan State University and MS degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
She established the Animal Health Care Center of Hershey in 1989 and is the current owner along with Dr. Poteet.
Dr. Kenworthy is married to Dave, a Manheim native, and has two children, Sarah and Chris.
Dr. Kenworthy has a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Griffin, a working Morgan horse named Ivan, and two retired Morgan horses at home. She enjoys riding and driving Ivan, trail riding, Combined Driving Eventing, and fox chasing with the Beaufort Hunt.
In her free time, Dr. Kenworthy likes to read and appreciates the outdoors by gardening, camping, fishing, and taking horseback riding vacations around the world.
Dr. Kathy Poteet, originally from Maryland, graduated in 1990 from the University of Pennsylvania, College of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, she has a BS degree from Wilson College and a MS degree from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Poteet has practiced in the area since 1990, but joined the Animal Health Care Center in 1998 and became a practice owner in 2003.
Dr. Poteet's family includes Kay and a rescued Great Dane named Kai, who they proclaim is "the best dog in the world." They also have two cats: Toby and Chaco, the one-eyed, blind cat, both who were rescues adopted as kittens from the Animal Health Care Center.
Dr. Poteet enjoys traveling and sharing photos of her adventures. She is an excellent photographer and her work of a recent trip to the Galapagos is proudly displayed in our office. When at home, Dr. Poteet enjoys walking Kai and gardening.
Dr. Tracy Filler joined the staff in 2003. Dr. Filler is a Harrisburg native who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Additionally, Dr. Filler has a BS degree from St. Francis University in Biology and History and a MS degree in Biology from Villanova University.
Dr. Filler began her veterinary career as a technician in 1997 and participated in small animal internships following veterinary school in 2002 and 2003. She has a special interest in Internal Medicine and Ultrasound.
Dr. Filler enjoys spending time with her niece, reading, and traveling. Her family includes three cats: Enya, Little, and Buddy, and a beagle: Dauphne.
Dr. Kimberly Ferretti joined us in 2008, originally from Kinnelon, New Jersey, she attended undergraduate school at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Dr. Ferretti graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, VA in 2006. She has a special interest in Emergency Medicine and Ultrasound.
Dr. Ferretti currently resides in Annville with her fiance, Geoff. Their family pets include beagles: Sloppy Joe Bagel, Dexter, and Penny. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, running, and watching movies.
Dr. Katy Bilder joined us part time in 2005. Dr. Bilder graduated from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She is a PA native who attended Central Dauphin High School and Juniata College.
She currently resides in Linglestown with husband, Allen, and their children: daughter, Brei, and sons, Aidan and Brock. Their family pets include Bella, a German Short Haired Pointer, Flash, a St.Bernard, and a cat named Bandit. The Bilder family enjoys camping and boating.
